As part of the ongoing Target Center Renovation, more than $2 million went to improving the sound system in the arena. Anyone who has been to Target Center recently likely noticed a much crisper sound, and that not only affects the basketball games played there, but also concerts and other events.

“A crisper, cleaner sound, more intelligible, less reverberation off of surfaces, we got rid of all the glass in the suites and things like that so we softened up the arena bowl,” said Timberwolves Chief Strategy Officer Ted Johnson. “It’s really translated into sort of an amazing sound. That’s something that everyone that comes to Target Center can be excited about.”
